Navah New Covenant Fellowship is Christian House Church. Its mission is to expand the Kingdom of God on Earth through covenant relationships – one family at a time. We are people who are passionate for the lost (those who are yet not in covenant with God) because that is the Father’s heart. God desires that all humanity be saved from eternal separation from Him and provided the means to restore this relationship through Jesus Christ’s s sacrificial death on the cross and His resurrection from death by the power of Holy Spirit. Salvation, though available to every person, is appropriated on an individual basis by the work of God’s grace. The Gospel leads one to repent of sin and accept God’s invitation to enter into covenant relationship with Him through faith and trust in Jesus Christ – Yeshua the Messiah. As a local congregation, our purpose is to worship God in spirit and truth, love and obey God as we love and care for one another. As part of One New Man, we flow in our covenant roots found in the Old Testament. Our goal is to love in fulfillment of the Lord Jesus Christ’s command to go, preach, and make disciples after Himself.
Our Core Values
There are three essential core values which mark the identity of our fellowship: 1) The commitment to understand biblical covenant, and live according to those principles in our relationship with God and one another; 2) The determination to fulfill the church’s call which is the royal-priestly ministry whose foundation is forgiveness, and follow our Lord Jesus’ example: “He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38); and 3) The intentional appropriation of a Hebraic mindset, understanding that it holds the revelation of God’s wisdom for living out our time here on earth.
Blended together these three core values shape this congregation’s distinct approach to ministry. We believe that the small, home fellowship is the most effective setting for articulating and modeling Kingdom principles and making disciples after Jesus Christ.
We exist to extend the Kingdom of God on earth through authentic, covenant relationships. We aim to pursue truth found in the Bible through Holy Spirit’s revelation and maintain humble hearts which yield to the presence and power of Holy Spirit. As a home-based ministry, our focus is to build up and equip the saints (true believers) who will glorify God in ministry.
Our Name
We call our gathering Navah New Covenant Fellowship, as it reflects many of our core values. The word, navah is Hebrew in origin. As a noun it means, pleasant or beautiful. Its common use is in the form of a Hebrew verb which literally translates, to beautify (Exodus 15:2 – to beautify with praise). Navah can also be translated, abide/stay as in a home (Habakkuk 2:5). The lexicon of navah is pleasingly descriptive; comprehensively it evokes a trans-formative intention.
Throughout scripture God clearly reveals that His design for the beautification (sanctification) process will occur in community of covenant relationships. Romans 10:15 states, “And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Our goal as a fellowship is to fully embrace the transformative experience found in God as, One New Man through Christ Jesus, by the power of Holy Spirit. As the Psalmist wrote, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” (Psalms 133:1). Jesus, when He prayed for the future of the Church – His body – declared the standard and basis of our unity : “….that they all may be one; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:21) In light of these distinctions, navah embodies the hope of our fellowship.
